Google Add-ons are "programs" that developers have created to enhance or add components to the Google Application - Docs, Sheets, Forms and now Slides! Each Google application has a menu option within the choices- Add-ons. Under each application users can choose to Get Add-ons or Manage Add-ons and once you have some add-ons you will see them appear under that menu choice as well. ***Many add-ons are made by third party developers and during the review process the add-ons are available. However, you may receive a notice from Google that says "This app isn't verified". If you are confident that the add-on is from a trusted source you can select "advanced" and then choose to go to the add-on. This means that Google hasn't reviewed it, or the developer has made changes that have not been reviewed. You can choose to go on or not install the add-on."***

Auto-Latex Equations- This add-on lets you automatically convert every mathematical equation in your document into beautiful latex images! Simply enclose your math equations within $$ ... $$ and click the button in the sidebar, and all of your equations will be rendered in LaTeX!
Doc Chat- Google Docs Chat program that allows you to make groups and chat with friends. Chat program that allows for users to chat with other people on Google Docs, even if they aren't on the same document. It is startup and go, and no verification is necessary. All you need is your Google account. Educators should set clear boundaries about the correct use of this tool.
Doc to Form allows you to quickly and easily create a Google Form from within a Doc. Simply select text and click a button to add your questions. You can choose from a variety of question types - ideal for converting traditional worksheets to Google Forms.

MindMeister lets you turn any bullet-point list into a visually appealing mind map and insert it into your Google Document. The mind map will include all information covered within the list, with the first point becoming the root topic of the mind map and the rest of the first-level bullet points becoming topics, branching off from the center. Any second-level points are then turned into sub-topics, branching off from their respective parent topics, and so on.
OneLook Thesaurus add-on for Google Docs brings the brainstorming power of OneLook and RhymeZone directly to your editing process. As you're writing a document in Google Docs, just select one of the 6 function buttons to find engaging alternatives, admirable adjectives, rapturous rhymes, and more. The add-on will use the word under your cursor to make the search. Side Study- Teacher Side Study is a complete solution that allows you to create, assign, review, and grade assignments for any subject and age level from elementary to college right from Google Docs.
